How does it work?
Coaching Sessions with
Reward Your Dog Training
When living with a dog who has issues around fear, anxiety, aggression, or reactivity, you are probably facing your dog’s behavior issues frequently, perhaps even daily. And you may not always be confident that you’re handling everything well. That is why a coaching model makes sense.
Coaching Sessions are sessions where you and your dog get together with Verena to work on skill building and helping your dog overcome their behavioral challenges.
Not only will these sessions help you learn important training mechanics and skills, they will also allow you to troubleshoot any issues you’re currently experiencing and build your confidence around continuing the training on your own.

Individual Sessions
Intake Consultation $200
Coaching Session $150
If you would like to see if you’re a good fit or are a returning client who would like to troubleshoot or tune up on some skills, these á la carte services are for you.

Intro Package
Intake Consultation plus 3 sessions $600
This package is great for dogs that show mild behavior issues and don’t have more than one issue to address. It will work best for clients who are self-directed learners with a DIY mindset who like to learn concepts and apply them largely on their own. It will also work well for folks who have a good basic understanding of how dog training works.

Intermediate Package
Intake Consultation plus 6 sessions $1000
This package is for dogs that have more pronounced reactivity or fear issues or a few behavior issues to address. It will work best for clients who are new to training or would like a bit more support in their training journey as they learn to create training plans to help their dog.

Advanced Package
Intake Consultation plus 10 sessions $1500
This package is for dogs with serious behavioral issues and/or dogs showing multiple issues. It is also great for clients that are in need of a bit more support on their training journey, have lost confidence in themselves or their dog or would like a trainer’s help to create and execute a comprehensive behavior plan.

Step 1: Apply to Work with RYDT
To make sure that you get the most out of your training sessions with Reward Your Dog Training, Verena carefully vets each case before accepting a dog and guardian team into her training program. Once she has determined that your dog is a good fit, she will reach out to you with further steps to schedule your intake consultation and sessions.
Step 2: Book Your Intake Consult
You and your dog’s training journey begins with an intake consultation, which allows you to share the issues you and your dog are facing as well as take a deep dive into your dog’s history to help get to the root of the behavioral challenges. Verena will then work together with you to hone in on your training goals, discuss the expected prognosis, go over the behavior modification plan, and build 1-2 core skills to get you and your dog started on your training journey. Intake consultations take 90-120 minutes and include a thorough written write up as well as email and text support as needed.
Step 3: Book Your Sessions
After the intake consultation, your sessions will focus on coaching you to gain both theoretical as well as practical skills to understand how to help your dog achieve their training goals. Your dog will learn important skills in a relaxed environment and then begin applying them to more challenging situations.
When working with you and your dog on skill building, Verena will use a personalized approach depending on your learning style.
Coaching sessions are 60 minutes in length and include a thorough written write up as well as email and text support as needed.
